having had to use PHP in the late 90s and esrly 2000s I can say I was glad when I could move on. The language was not very good.
But looking at the improvements over the past 20 years and having fixed a bug in a random PHP project recently I have to say it got a lot better. And it’s still the easiest language to get something online.
A lot of the negative sentiment seems to come from people who last used it in the early 2ks or blindly repeats their mantra…
