don’t remember where exactly in Africa, but there is somewhere where they kept being flooded when it rained because the drought was so bad that the ground was too dry to absorb anything (think of how a dry sponge doesn’t sponge anything). Yet, they found a way to get reforestation on track by digging holes in the ground, the idea being that the water accumulates there, giving the ground the time it needed to finally absorbed it. The pictures are amazing!
