David Alvarez was on top of the world for one night after connecting with Robert on Grindr. Robert was hot, their sex was the best in David's memory, and afterwards they went out and partied till dawn. There was only one slight problem. The next morning when David woke up Robert was beside him in bed dead. And that's the dilemma facing David in I Might Be In Trouble by Daniel Aleman.
A celebrated author following his debut novel, David's career has since hit the skids. As David envisions his entire future going kaput, he does what any writer would do and calls his agent. She arrives at David's apartment, assesses the situation, and before we know it a Weekend at Bernie's scenario plays out. She soon has David convinced that this is the perfect subject for his comeback novel, but other forces may have other ideas.
This one kept my attention from beginning to end, and had me laughing out loud on multiple occasions. Not a dull moment in the entire book.
