This is (no personal insult to you) a general attitude that has kept Bitcoin from becoming money. People direct all animosity towards people for “using Bitcoin wrong” rather than to Core for refusing to make any improvements to Bitcoin to make it useful money. Monetary fungibility is a *completely solved problem* for 12 years, and there was no attempt at all to make RingCT the universal standard Bitcoin, even though it would make Bitcoin actually useful money. There are so many solutions to make Bitcoin useful and private but we’re supposed to wait for Silent Payments (not actually a solution) and BOLT12 support (nonexistent in wallets people actually use, not that normal people want to use LN at all).

There is no mechanism to discipline Core. There is no opposition to Core except for Knots, which is obviously a completely retarded joke project. There is no path forward for Bitcoin to become money because people would rather scream at people for using Bitcoin wrong than demand Core make Bitcoin useful money.
