Two of the most recent videos by Bill (npub1jt9…eg22) as well as my own experiences with the Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta have me thinking about whether or not you can make a non-procedurally generated video game with a randomizer as part of everyone's initial experience. I recommend Four Job Fiesta rules because it can remove decision paralysis, but even that has limitations on how random it can be while remaining fun. Self-imposed rules are much easier to adapt than if a randomizer has a logic problem.
