"content": "The Royalty Cinema in Harborne (Birmingham) was opened in the 1930s. This was a golden age of cinema. At this time, musicals and epics were becoming popular and numerous grand and lavish Art Deco auditoriums were constructed around Britain at this time.\n\nSadly, a large fire in September 2018 destroyed the interior of this beautiful building, gutting the cinema. My photos show how beautiful it was only a year before its destruction.\n\n#Birmingham #History #ArtDeco\n\nhttps://cdn.masto.host/photog/media_attachments/files/114/428/821/821/822/365/original/9b98ac51b6dab69d.png",
