The transparent menu bar is pretty surprising to me. I've had the feature for I can't even tell you how long in Linux, and I absolutely hate it. I never ever make the menu bar transparent. I understand that this is purely subjective, but I wouldn't have thought there were enough fans of that look to warrant Apple going with it. Is it something that can be disabled?
