Many years ago we had a cat who liked coffee. You had to keep an eye on your cup, or a paw would stealthily reach up and over the side, dip in for a soak, and Erika would happily lick her paw for the next hour.
One time we had a mouse. We explained to both cats that this was unacceptable, a poor job performance, and still we had a mouse.
After a week, my ex told the cats that if one of them caught the mouse, that cat could have a saucer of coffee. Erika caught the mouse that night.
