To be clear, I don't know Andy Burnham from boo. I am not in any way suggesting he'll be a good Prime Minster - you should ask British people what they feel about it. I just got information indicating that Labour understood he was the only piece they had that might turn around the landslide loss to Reform looming in 3 years, so after all the kicking and crying, it would be Burnham.
I trusted that. So far it's checking out. Must be nice to have a political party that considers losing a crisis.
