What has China got to do with communism?
The way China and Russia are currently waging hybrid war against "the west" is by sowing division. This results in weaker countries and political turmoil which they exploit.
The US-centric view of "right" and "left" is US-centric. For a European it makes more sense to talk about the threat of authoritarianism - since (almost) all of our countries are quite liberal (which is not the same as the US "left" btw).
