The legalese opens users to new abuses. That is new, is it not?
I agree that "nothing has changed", yet everything has - previously, Firefox users weren't agreeing to have their data sold (that is what the legalese says), and product updates can make that possible.
Technologists are annoyed because they know how technology can be abused to expand abuses to fit within the letter of the law.
I'm curious - would you say that the ToU update that has already been pushed was unnecessary?
