It struck me today that we in the “freedom money” community within Bitcoin, and the “free speech and communications privacy” space, likely have to adjust our expectations. I know I’ve had to. Firstly, with regard to what percentage of people we will ever be able to convince that these things are important. Secondly, how many people we will ever convince to take a hard look at what money is and how important soundness and hardness is. Thirdly, that we won’t be vilified and hunted down for building and living according to these principles.
I see a rising need for vastly greater adversarial thinking and design in the next 5 years.
