I think that when for eg possible bad actor posts something to let's say 10k followers and they read comments, bad actor don't want 10k to see replies with proving he is one.
I think this is wrapped as protection from bots, maybe even bots are runned by bad actors?
What you might be interested is YOU NOT SEEING posts of bots, that would solve that wouldn't it?

I understand your frustration with meaningless and bot-like replies to notes, but this is part of the freedom we all want.
In 2021-2022 you were concerned that nobody will use nostr and you were calling people to post more.
Then staring with 2024 people start using AI bots to post more crap.
Now in 2026 there's so much crap on nostr already that you start calling for "maybe even ban someone from ever replying or mentioning you again" (your words, not mine).
So why not making a "pay to post /reply) nostr client?
