6. It takes *low* trust to call bullshit on cherished institutions. Black Americans are good at this. Jews are, too. Both groups have low levels of political racism against other minorities. In contrast, high-trust groups don't call bullshit, and then view the fact that immigrants do (after all, we directly see the hostility of many authorities to us and our friends) as evidence that we don't integrate: to be Swedish, they essentially say, means to believe Sweden can't possibly be racist.
