oh I wish I was able to come and talk about the history of VKontakte and how that led to me starting Smithereen. Russia is one of the few countries where Meta genuinely failed to take over the majority of social media usage, and VK took a lot longer to become terminally enshittified.
That and I'd also talk about how I'm extending ActivityPub too much. And that I have some ideas about decentralized global search.
