If the average citizen works full time for 40 years, and pays a cumulative tax rate of 30%, they lose 1040 twenty four hour days of their life to the state during their lifetime. This doesn’t include unpaid lunches and commute time.
Is that loss worth what each person “gets” in return? Cumulative loss of life hours to taxes is staggering across entire populations.
