"content": "Fela Kuti by François Bensignor. I've been on a roll for reading books about music or musicians lately, and Bensignor's Fela Kuti is rather a good pick. I had to buy it secondhand because despite having been released last year it was out of print already. Unlike the Oscar Peterson biography I read recently which was decidedly too succinct, this biography of Fela strikes a good balance between brevity and level of detail. It even offers little sidebars on politics, cultural movements or important figures that crossed Fela's life to offer context. Really a good read and great way to get deeper into the life of a fascinating and wild character if 20th century music history. #biography #felakuti #afrobeat #music #book\nhttps://imaginair.es/system/media_attachments/files/113/300/215/826/910/801/original/bfa78f33f6924bb2.jpg\n",
