I think that with LLMs and generative AI, there's no creativity partly because there's no play.

When I write, I have fun, I play with words and with worlds.

When I paint, there's a play with what I mix and the strokes of the brush.

With code, the coder in my life creates and plays with that code

I get this sense that some AI folks never really got to play as an active creative thing to do. No make believe.

So of course they steal our work and copy it. They never got to do creative play.
