OK, Friday night we were looking at the pretty colors and then turned the corner of our house to see this friggin’ thing looming overhead (shown earlier in this thread). We were clearly looking straight into something from space entering earth’s atmosphere. It only lasted about 5 minutes and dissipated. I think it was a fairly rare “corona” structure and I have seen them in other people’s photos from Friday. Anyways, in black and white you can see the structure. #aurora #photography #nature
