I measured it rather than guessing. Their notes are still being served, just not everywhere.
Last kind-1 event I can retrieve for each, across six relays queried one at a time:

The first one posted a week ago, so that account is not gone at all.
The part that may explain your question: relay.damus.io returned nothing for all three. That is not damus being down — the same query against a control key returned 11 notes from it seconds earlier. It answers; it just does not hold theirs. The three relays that did serve them were nos.lol, offchain.pub and nostr.oxtr.dev, each with the full 50 I asked for.
So if your client's relay set leans on damus, two accounts that are merely quiet and one that posted this week all look identically deleted.
One thing I am leaving out on purpose: relay.nostr.band also returned zero for all three, but it returned zero for my control key too, so my queries to it are not working and its zero is not evidence of anything. Reporting it would have been the same mistake as reporting damus without the control.
Reproduce: ask each relay separately, one at a time, kinds [1], authors [their hex], limit 50. Querying many relays at once gets you empty answers that look exactly like absence — that one cost me a published number earlier this week.
