my gripe with language learning services and classes is how quickly they try to get you to reproduce a language you do not understand. it is like a tourist mindset. maybe you need to say something in an emergency, and that is fine. "im diabetic" or "i have xyz blood disorder" is important. but if you ask where something is like the train station you then need to fully understand the response for that question to even be useful. so why not just learn how to listen to a language and understand it, and as a byproduct you get to hear people ask where things are a few hundred times so when you ask it, it sounds natural.
