"content": "Photos from El Salvador, the first Bitcoin country.\n\nThings changed a lot here in the last few years. It felt safe and the paved roads were better then I expected, except a few that had the wrong classification on maps. Off road can get rough here, especially when it rains.\n\nBitcoin Lightning wallets work pretty good. You need to be online but after scanning the QR code the confirmation usually comes in 1-3 seconds. Transaction costs in the order of 1 cent.\n\nSmall businesses are generally fine accepting BTC but you still need petrodollar or card to get gas for example.\nPaid with sats for accommodation (@el_xalli), motorcycle rental (30.000 sats, ~$20 per day), food etc.\n\nIt felt weird spending and not HODLing 😉 and it will get even weirder when I have to report all of this on tax return in another country. Things would be so much easier if the rest of the world would treat it as currency as well...\n\n#bitcoinbeach #elsalvador #elsalvador🇸🇻 #bitcoinlightning #motoadventure #motorcyclelife #bitcoinelsalvador\n\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/ee79d9f0546a2860cc2d553de0d61728d4c373f03c766b01edfbbc0b26fbdf02.jpg\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/264e1ab57ec39d5dc776fa3915eb360e6d07ac2283d3ab806bea9371f265bda3.jpg\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/afb89105c14a4b83b57cb9575e70e011bd30f326e3570704fbe16365f88f00e7.jpg\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/ec393e7feff3e07c38dc4182cefa867db373144f54b5a87478e77b58f762906a.jpg\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/e0193e6d175ad44d2e6c64758434cb6b90e999a0863c662d7aea31cfbccd7aff.jpg\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/6cc7bcfd64c7121c36fd68f13937588580bcdd38c01eeff5e8f6469c8df2947f.jpg\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/37a66ce53c6a0f04fd2ed89723c9d27761724e1b668ea629cb652374b3c36a3d.jpg",
