I'm the oldest of 11, and I started cooking for the family when I was 7. I have finally managed to learn to cook for six (there are just two of us in the household) instead of 12--so I always send guests home with armloads of food. Luckily, I am a decent cook. (My mom didn't become a good cook until I left home-but my youngest siblings still rave about her cooking.)
