The Great Divide | Canada’s Tribute to The Band (Dylan Stone - Guitar, Geoff Howe - Bass, Sean Thompson - Drums, Aidan Miller - Piano, & Jack Weyler - Organ) performed The Band’s iconic farewell concert in its entirety, joined by some of Vancouver BC’s finest musicians to bring the entire concert to life.
Performing with the same instrumentation and five-vocalist approach that made The Band so distinctive, The Great Divide delivers an unmatched authenticity that honors the legacy of Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, and Richard Manuel.
Joining The Great Divide on stage was a stellar lineup of special guests, including Dawn Pemberton, Paul Pigat, Jim Byrnes, Dan Moxon, Samantha Parton, Scott Smith, Elliot Way, Janky Bungag, Etienne Tremblay, Chris Woudstra, and Mercy Walker, ensuring a rich and authentic recreation of The Last Waltz experience.
The original 'The Last Waltz' movie was filmed by director Martin Scorsese, who made it into a documentary of the same title, released in 1978. Enjoy a 50 year anniversary of a powerful celebration of one of the greatest nights in rock history.
