it really is remarkable. statistically speaking, the amount of claimant fraud in the disability benefits system is zero. it's literally undetectable.

whereas 68% of appealed refusals are overturned - and even a disabled MP who was refused PIP didn't feel confident enough to appeal. that's an ASTONISHING degree of error. indeed... it's a high enough degree of error to constitute deliberate obstructionism.

what's another word for that? ah yes, fraud. so actually, there IS a high degree of fraud in the PIP system; it just goes the other way. the DWP is systematically defrauding claimants of their entitlement.

but you'll NEVER see that reported anywhere. you'll see the high appeal rate reported on occasion if you're lucky - but you'll never see it expressed as anything other than "oh dear, it's so terribly unfortunate that so many people are being refused benefits..." it's not a misfortune, any more than wage theft is a misfortune. it's fraud, plain and simple. people are being defrauded of money to which they are legally entitled by a system that is designed to do exactly that.
