I’m almost certain that our nervous system becomes an anxious wreck when you live life on a clock.
It’s insidious. Weekends aren’t free. Time becomes a perpetual doom instrument constantly reminding you of your finite freedom.
I’ve seen this in folks who retire. Takes 6-12 months to actually relax. The mind is still caught on the hamster wheel of “I NEED TO DO MORE, I HAVE THINGS TO DO, MY TIME IS NOT FREE”
That is not a fun existence. We’ve all lived it.
