Jesus said he didn't come to bring peace but a sword. He promised to divide fathers and sons, and brothers from each other. Peace with God was the only type of peace that concerned him.
I don't know where you've come by your "knowledge" of Jesus, but he did not put up with assaults on Scripture. Pharisees and Sadducees tried it and failed. The rich and the arrogant all tried it on him. They all failed.
