You know things are getting bad when even a bug bounty program (which benefits heavily from anonymous cyber professionals) is now mandating ID verification that you have to renew annually.
The really crappy part is that this means bugs will go unspotted, more vulnerabilities will be sold on the dark web, and many who got involved in helping make a more secure internet will now simply no longer contribute.
It can't be understated just how much chaos this nonsense has the potential to cause.
