Bitcoin mining pool OCEAN has announced it will no longer support the BIP-110 fork chain, confirming it will not adopt the BLAKE2b Proof-of-Work (PoW) hard fork. OCEAN previously offered a dedicated mining entry point for the BIP-110 chain. However, the chain experienced prolonged stagnation due to insufficient hash rate following the August 8th UASF. The BIP-110 fork chain subsequently transitioned to BLAKE2b from block 961,640 on August 30th, reducing mining difficulty to continue block production. OCEAN stated that rewards for BIP-110 mining were unable to mature due to not reaching 100 confirmations and will not be paid out. Miners wishing to continue supporting the chain are advised to redirect their efforts to CONVOY Mining.
