Someone asked me for a refund over this post, so I’d like to make something clear: our community consists of trans and gay and disabled people and people of color and people whose first language is not English and a whole host of other kinds of marginalization and I have no plans to ever stop celebrating that. If that’s a problem for you, I am extremely happy to give you your money back.
It’s also #TransDayOfVisibility today! It’s a good day to acknowledge that if you’re using desktop Linux, you’re almost certainly using something made at least in part by transgender people. And we must continue to work to dismantle systems of discrimination against the trans folks in our community 🏳️⚧️
