Solar and wind require several times the amount of T&D infrastructure that nuclear needs, especially when existing sites where the lines are already in place can be used.
According to reliable life-cycle analyses, nuclear needs about as much mining as solar and wind, or quite a bit less once we add a few "breeder" reactors into the system and close the fuel cycle. There is not strictly a need to mine any more uranium at all, as I have shown elsewhere.
