One point I made today while trying to explain #nostr to a normie is the unique built-in drive toward positivity we have here. Unlike advertising-supported algorithms that thrive on generating conflict and dividing people along arbitrary and predictable lines, this protocol rewards users for finding commonalities and emphasizes the things they share. If it were expressed as a Venn diagram, we’d be the intersection, and traditional social media would be the exclusion.
