For instance you think that bitcoin is already centralized.

I’ve heard other BIP110-ers saying that the miners are all compromised.

I think it’s beyond clear at this point that they are not. The only real issue here is minor centralization, but we can see more mining pools come to existence overtime… with more to come as nation states get into this.

Bitcoin is a network of self interested people all fighting for their own interests. The protocol only rewards proof of work.

Perhaps you’re still early to understanding bitcoin or haven’t really done your thousand hours of research into the protocol layer? Sorry to assume that you’re just confused because you haven’t dug deep enough yet, but it seems no one is able to prove what’s wrong with the bitcoin protocol as it is.
