Were you expecting everything to warm up evenly at an even rate without any fluctuations or periods of regression?

That's not what complex global climate models predicted. They predicted extremes like record cold, record heat, record dry, record wet, and in places outside the historical norm.

A few years ago the Pacific northwest had unseasonably dry conditions and in the same year Arizona flooded like a monsoon and the Colorado River gushed like we hadn't seen in decades.

Stuff like that is realistic. "It will never be cold again and we'll stop having winters" is not realistic. We will continue to have summer and winter extremes, with volatile fluctuations in between that no longer feel like spring or autumn.

This is what was predicted and this is what we're seeing.
