What theories? Please share what one should observe in your experiment. "Go and try" means nothing. Observations over water disprove claims of curvature, everyone can do them, no need to book a trip to anywhere.
Flat means level, a plane. It certainly ain't a ball with nasa/gov claimed dimensions.
