that’s the problem, though: nobody gives a fuck about any of the criticism. If they did do you think Nancy Pelosi would have been the Dems’ pick for speaker? Her policy positions are gross, and her behavior is abhorrent and self-centered.
Nobody cares about the criticism. Democrats will keep ignoring it, Republicans will just keep using the “P” word, and the electorate will keep missing the point.
I think the problems are that A) folks don’t see the value in self-determination through elections because we’ve turned politics into a commodity, and B) America is kinda already out of luck; the decline is inevitable. We couldn’t fix it.
We’ve turned everything into corpo shit that only matters if you can extract labor or money from it, and people are so alienated from their own labor and material conditions that they don’t understand that “HealthChoices” in Pennsylvania is Medicaid and is about to be gutted because of their red hat.
It does matter if we vote, but I see no evidence at all that criticism of Democrats contributes to any meaningful change outside of the occasional appearance or a spine within the legislative body.
