Undocumented workers may have lost their life savings in the LA fire. Laws require proof of citizenship to bank in the USA. Without access to savings accounts, if their homes burned, their "under the mattress" burned along with it. They generally aren't able to access aid; and with Trump taking office on Monday, they likely won't even try if they could. Devestating.
