Disregarding for the moment the obvious unfairness of it, why does she have to go to gaol because the private contractor supplying the wrist tags is unable to provide apparatus for every scenario?
The UK has a long and proud history of imprisoning women for being poor, mainly in relation to the BBC levy.
Perhaps she could sue the company for discrimination, since she is suffering obvious harm, due to their failings?
