Hey everyone, we’re going to do a community contest for an Ultramarine 41 wallpaper option!
Details:
- There are 2 categories, general Ultramarine wallpaper, and 41 theme-specific (details below)
- Will stay open for as long as needed
- Must not use AI, or someone else’s licensed content
- Must be under a FOSS license (AKA we must be able to use it for free)
- Can be a photo, drawing, collage, whatever, as long as it’s made by you
- May not be the default wallpaper, but will be included in all editions
- We may select more then one
- Try to keep it a bit classy, we don’t want the logo just on top of a gradient
- Can have a light/dark mode, or just one
- Deadline is (at least) November 12th
Ultramarine themes ~
Ultramarine 41 is code named ‘Cyberia’ from Serial Experiment Lain. Think along the lines of ‘walking outside or into a nightclub in a cyberpunk town.’
For the general Ultramarine theme, think about our general values and previous wallpapers (can be seen here: https://github.com/Ultramarine-Linux/backgrounds/tree/main/ultramarine-linux)
Winner(s) will get their name added to the ‘super secret’ file in Ultramarine for sponsors, as well as the contributors role if you don’t have it, and of course bragging rights.
Please post submissions in the discord forum, winner will be determined by voting/staff
