Since I couldn’t write the story myself, I asked my colleague Josephine if she was interested in picking it up. She’d previously written about huckleberries and had reported in Indigenous communities.

Yesterday, I got my print edition in the mail and finally got to read the feature on paper! I like to save the stories I’m most excited about for print, even if they’re already published online. It’s a special kind of reading pleasure. 🍵
