And not just the energy squeeze. LLMs are hemorrhaging money even in the current energy environment. It's very clearly a bubble that's getting ready to explode.
The amount of resources it requires vs the end result it provides looks like a negative ROI to me. It has some uses, but most of these would be prohibitively expensive if priced correctly.
At this point I'm not even sure they have a single profitable use, outside of luxury ego stroking for the rich maybe.
