There's a subtext here, to my eye, though I'm pointing it out while admitting I have a motivated bias to do so:

Moderation in our social networks is kinda frickin' tough and often thankless. In our distributed social networks, we do some bits better, but some bits worse. One of the "worse" is, *nobody can get it "right" *. Because there is no "right". The very nature of the protocol stacks abdicates governance to whomever wants to step up to it. Or whomever has the resources to do it.
