I have not wanted to sound hyperbolic or conspiratorial but every day it seems clearer that this regime wants to thin the herd. The disabled and the old-"useless eaters"-will go first.
There are predictive models that suggest that half of US jobs could be eliminated by AI and robotics in as little as 20 years. From the stand point of the wealthy far right, half of US workers will not be needed. When human beings no longer have value terrible things happen.
