Hmmm... I just went through the first half of your follows (as a friend, not a creep...) but we share already a good deal of follows, so either
a) we have similar interests
b) we reached the limits of Mastodon (I'd hope not... 😬)
c) there are separated parallel social bubbles (where hashtags might be the only way to break through)
d) it's not social bubbles, but the federetation structure. I wonder if there is a convenient way to look up "your instance is federated only to 14.2% percent of the fediverse".
For me it varies a lot. Some days I am totally amazed about the many interesting posts I find. Other days it's just not my thing. Don't know the reasons, maybe also just personal mood. 3 or 4 interesting news and a handful of interactions with nice mutuals are probably enough to make the time spent on social media woth it.
Maybe we should try to retake some # followfridays suggestions soon.
