There’s no name for the category of Schelling point that I’m talking about — but it should have one, imho.

a decentralized-protocol Schelling point?

Hypothesis: the schelling point for a decentralized protocol is the *most simple version* of that protocol that will get it off the ground.

3 examples:
1. Decentralized money (bitcoin)
2. Decentralized social media (nostr)
3. Decentralized web of trust (?)

What does “simple” mean? What does “off the ground” look like? These are challenging questions to answer. And very different for each of the above scenarios.

But challenging != intractable. The game is afoot.
