I feel like I've been improving as a writer in the past year?
I've started writing about projects that aren't mine. Thinking about how to best present other's work. Things I don't necessarily know well myself, but have to figure out how to present and frame in a way that ends up making sense.
Doing related, but different things apparently improves your overall ability. Who'd have guessed?
