I’m not loyal to any particular Linux distribution. It’s software — I use what works, when it works.
Personally, I’m using NixOS. It’s an immutable distro and operates outside U.S. jurisdiction.
That said, I fully recognize that, at the moment, there are no Linux distributions outside U.S. jurisdiction that are truly accessible to users with little or no technical skill. I also acknowledge that NixOS has a definite learning curve.
So I considered what would be best for everyone else, and I landed on Fedora and Kubuntu. I also make a point to warn people that, while they may hear old-school Linux users praise Arch Linux and Linux Mint, those might not be the best choices for newcomers.
You’d think I had sacrificed their firstborn or something. lol 😅
