I agree that the limits of physical scarcity place a boundary of the fullfilment of the desire for large families. That desire itself can create conditions of increasing physical scarcity.
For lower order desires: world class healthcare, chefs, etc., those can be... cheapened. Yeah, that's how I would frame it. Not in terms of abundance, but what was once a luxury just becomes commonplace.
