Among the papers cited was one that lead me to discover that tears are studied as a source of chemosignals. Im not an expert but there's a lot of what read like really weird/cringe conclusions in these studies. my conclusion is that we havent been able to detect any real pheromones and chemical signaling in humans because we bathe and wear clothes. someday our species will probably smell of microplastics.
