measuring things with in feet (or hands, for that matter) isn't something terrible by default, as long as you do it with your own foot or hand, know how long it is and use it in personal, at-hand projects.

The problem with USes feet however lies in the fact that their feet don't match with an average sized foot and is just as much imaginary as a meter — except nobody else use it.
